Director of Elementary and Middle School

Diane Kmetz is the Director of Elementary and Middle School. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, yet found her true passion in Montessori education. Diane received her Elementary I and II Montessori Teaching Credentials as well as her Secondary I and II making her credentialed for students 1st through 12th grade.

She began her career at VMS in 2010 as an Upper Elementary teacher and then moved to serve in the Middle School as an Integrated Science teacher as well as the Middle School Level Lead. In 2022, Diane transitioned to her current role as Director of Elementary and Middle School. Her decades of Montessori teaching experience and deep understanding of the VMS culture brings a unique perspective to her role. Diane also serves on our Strategic planning Committee. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her four children, who are all VMS Alumni.
