VMS Community
In addition to our parent and caregivers, our VMS Community includes teachers, staff, grandparents, alumni and friends. With active participation from our close-knit community, we are able to enrich the VMS experience each year. Our dedicated volunteers partner with our teachers and staff to expand upon what we are able to provide for our students. Together we share a common goal of enhancing the lives of the children each day!
VMS Volunteers

Get Involved at VMS!
Valley Montessori School welcomes parent participation to build community and support our teachers.
The VMS Parent Association coordinates these efforts. There are so many ways to get involved at VMS - from "done-in-a-day" tasks to committee work. Take a look at the online form that follows providing a list of volunteer opportunities. See what works for you!
VMS Grandparents
Celebrating Grandparents
Grandparents are a special and very active part of our VMS community.
Last year, our VMS Grands Group was formed as a means of supporting VMS and strengthening the intergenerational relationships they enjoy with their Grandchildren. Some notable events facilitated by this group included:
- Saturday Craft Day
- VMS Pasta Feast!
- Literacy Reading Program
The Grands meet at 10:30am on the first Wednesday of the month. If you are a grandparent or grandfriend - or have parents that serve in this role - please encourage them to attend and learn more!
Questions: Contact VMS grandparent and former VMS teacher, Sue Bayer, for more information.
Each year we celebrate our grandparents and grandfriends during the month of May.
Save the date for our next event on May 6th and 7th of 2027.
