Art Teacher

John Iacono is a multidisciplinary artist whose career spans fine art, film, sculpture, music, and education. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and an Associate Degree in Art History, John uniquely bridges classical artistry with modern technical fluency.

Early in his career, John blended classical discipline with contemporary exploration, leading to numerous gallery exhibitions and a strong presence in the street-art community—all anchored by a solid foundation in figure drawing, sculpture, and guild modeling. He later taught at the university level with the New York Film Academy and contributed to major film productions, including SpongeBob SquarePants, The Day After Tomorrow, Constantine, The Aviator, and Fresh.

Outside of VMS, John remains deeply connected to the local creative community, serving as an instructor at area venues. Since joining Valley Montessori School in February 2026, he has loved getting to know the students and the Montessori philosophy, and he is excited for everything planned for the year ahead!
