Murphy

Director of Marketing and Communications

Joy Murphy is our Director of Marketing and Communications. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing with a minor in Public Relations from the State University of New York, Geneseo. Joy worked in the banking industry for more than a decade in various capacities including Regional Training Manager, writing, designing and facilitating employee development programs. She also served as a Business Manager of a premier online retailer managing sales and marketing before joining VMS in 2015. Joy leads our school's strategic marketing initiatives, manages the website and oversees database administration and social media content. She also publishes our staff and parent communications including the weekly Wednesday News.

Joy works closely with program directors to highlight the classroom experience, and the admissions and development teams to grow visibility, engagement and support for the school along with an understanding of the Montessori philosophy.
