Cat Kiser holds a BA in cultural anthropology and environmental studies. She is certified as a SITES Accredited Professional through the Green Building Certification Institute, exemplifying her commitment to sustainable landscapes and thoughtful garden program development. As a sustainable landscape designer with a deep commitment to ecological education and community-based land care, Cat weaves together ecological education with child-centered engagement in the garden. Cat is passionate about helping children cultivate curiosity, confidence, and care for the natural world through seasonal garden work, storytelling, and observation.

Outside of the garden, Cat enjoys urban foraging, tending to her ducks, and connecting with nature through hiking, running, and backpacking. She is also an active member of the community, volunteering regularly with Sustainable Contra Costa and the Mount Diablo Trails Alliance.
