Middle School Assistant Teacher

Middle School

Holly joins our Middle School team this year as an assistant teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in print journalism from Marshall University and earned her Master’s degree in English at James Madison University. Her focus was on postcolonial literature, and one of her poems was published in the literary journal. Holly earned her certificate in adolescent education from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), along with 30+ hours of continuing education in Montessori pedagogy.

Additionally, Holly has a certificate in nonprofit management from the WVU School of Social Work, and 6+ years of experience in the social sector working with nonprofit organizations. She is also a certified RYT-200 in alignment-based yoga, with an emphasis on trauma-informed yoga. Holly enjoys living in the Bay Area with her husband, daughter and their small rescue dog. In her spare time, she enjoys high tea at Lovejoy’s, exploring dog friendly trails or trying new healthy recipes.
